I am writing this letter today to bring light to the growing Heroin Epidemic in our state. Law enforcement officials, treatment centers, and families of addicts are all in need of assistance and action from the State of Ohio. There is a tremendous need for more funding for prevention programs, treatment centers, and other resources for those struggling through this terrible addiction. Putting an end to the heroin epidemic is an important cause to me. I am calling on you to advocate for an increase in funding to local treatment centers, more resources for our public safety forces, and greater prevention and education efforts in our local schools. Every day I see the toll that heroin is taking on our community. You are in a position to help stop this epidemic and bring peace to thousands of suffering families. I hope that you will be attentive to this matter.
